On the first day of class, I had no idea what I was going to be doing or what I would be learning. I had no idea what shutter speed was, or how to adjust aperture, I barely knew how to hold a camera correctly. But, I am really glad that I decided to pick this class for one of my electives. I've learned a lot, and I think I've improved greatly. Compared to the photos I first took to recently, I believe anyone would be able to say that. On the left, we have a picture I took that was supposed to show balance. It's literally just the side of one of the vending machines at school. On the right, we have a picture that was taken in Photography Club, with a pumpkin and smoke bombs, and it just visually looks more appealing and interesting compared to the fruits and vegetables. My skills in Photoshop have also improved a lot since the beginning of the trimester. I went from simply pressing buttons to change a few things, like the image on the left, to adjusting sizes and barriers and whatnot to create more difficult things, such as the polaroids on the right.
Overall, my abilities have greatly improved since I started this class, and I plan on taking Digital Photography 2 next year, to hopefully learn even more and create more things. I would love to become skilled in photography, and learn more than I already know.

For this assignment, we used tripods and our cameras to go around the school and take multiple pictures of ourselves in different poses in the same location, and edit them into a single photo.
In this assignment, we had to create puns using images to make them visual and not words, using common phrases or regular items as inspiration. We had to create three puns, and the ones I created were Brainstorm, Wisdom Tooth and Iron Man. They're pretty simple, but oh well. If I were to redo this assignment, I would try to create harder puns.
In this assignment, we took words from the English dictionary and visualized them, while putting the word and the definition in the picture. I picked 2 words, Incendiary and Frigorific. In summary, we had to search up images to use to create the visual dictionaries, and we had to make sure that they were related to the word and it's definition. I had fun doing this assignment, but it definitely wasn't my favorite.
In this assignment, we got into groups of 3, and we had to take studio pictures, and regular portrait pictures of each other, and then go into photoshop and put white frames around the portraits, on top of a black background. I took pictures of my classmates, Matthew and John. This definitely wasn't my favorite assignment, but it was pretty easy to do, and I would definitely be able to do it again.
In this assignment, we had to search and look up tutorials in Photoshop to create for ourselves. I did 2 tutorials, called Polaroids and Screen Jump. I did the Polaroid one first, by taking a picture of 5 of my friends, and working the magic of Photoshop. For the Screen Jump, I took a picture of a cat leaping from the internet, and I also got a picture of a television for the cat to be jumping out of. I had a lot of fun doing these assignments, and the Polaroid one was definitely my favorite. I would love to do it again, probably with a different picture of my friends :)
In this assignment, I took really close up pictures of a table center decoration that was sitting on my dining room table. The decoration has little faux flowers, leaves, grasses and berries. This is the edited version. I changed the saturation and brightness, by turning them up a bit. The original is below. In summary, I took some close up photographs of a fake plant decoration, and if I were to redo this, I would maybe go outside and take pictures of real vegetation, or instead of plants, someone's eyes.
In this assignment, I put a bunch of fruit together in one spot, such as pears and bananas. I did not edit this photo, I really liked how it turned out with the low depth of field and blur. In summary, I placed ripe bananas, not ripe bananas, red pears and regular pears together, and proceeded to take pictures of them. I like how the colors contrasted with each other. If I were to do this again, I would possibly take the pictures outside where there is better light and it's easier to adjust the aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
In class, we had to take a picture of the school, or somewhere in the school, and edit it to be something extremely different, that's still in the school environment. I went with an outer space theme, featuring an alien, or really, a dude in an alien morph suit (I liked his pose!), an astronaut, a satellite, a UFO, a nebula background/sky, and a cat, riding a piece of bacon. I really enjoyed doing this project and the end result is random enough for me to enjoy.
